If you want to participate in the Meteora Forums you also need to agree to abiding by the forum rules below.

Please be Aware:
Although we make a reasonable attempt to keep our public forums free from objectionable material, please be aware that the forums are a live message system. This means that as soon as something is posted, it appears on the forums.

There are certain filters in place to stop certain words from appearing, but please be aware that some of the posts on the forum may be of a rude, abusive, vulgar or discriminatory nature.

By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

The owners of Meteora reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. The owners also reserve the right to contact your ISP or government bodies should you be deemed in our sole opinion to be abusing the Forums.

Forum Rules/Regulations

Please note that individual forums may also have additional rules that co-exist along with these general rules or allow some things that other forums may not, please make sure to read these topics to prevent yourself from running into trouble regarding these rules.

Definitions

Spam: Spam is defined as not posting anything related to the topic or not posting at least 3 words in your post.

Double Post:Posting more then once in a row when there is another of your posts right in front of the one that you are about to post. This is only allowed if one of the two posts of yours have a "Quote" in them.Double posts are considerd spam and will be deleted on site.

Flame: Flaming is basically insulting/swearing at someone and is not tolerated; argue the point, not the person.

Flame baiting: If someone does not flame you, but makes you angry enough so that you flame, this is called flame baiting.

Trolling: Trolling is also against the rules. A 'Troll' is basically someone who posts messages from banned members or somebody similar that threaten the safety of the site, the security of the members etc.

The Forum Rules

1) Spam posts are not to be permitted on the forums

2) Flaming towards other members is by NO means acceptable

3) Flame baiting is not allowed, for the definition on what ‘flamebaiting’ is, consult the earlier section.

4) There is to be no trolling, Trolling is usually a ban, no warnings, consider this the warning.

5) All members have the right to an opinion and equal treatment.

6) Moderators run individual forums, Super Moderators run ALL forums, Admins also handle all forums, with the power to edit posts, ban people, etc. They also have the power to ban. Any disrespect shown to these people and the work they voluntarily do will not be tolerated.

7) Any Banned Member who is allowed to re-enter the site begins once more with all the rights and responsibilities the rest of the members have; do not mistreat these returned members.

8) Do not type your entire post in CAPITALS, it’s considered flaming and will be dealt with that way, regardless of the content of the message, oh and also do not create topics where the title has ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

9) Swearing excessively is against the rules, remember this is a family friendly site. Trying to get past the swear filter is also against the rules.

10) No Advertising is allowed. If you have your own website that is not a competitor, we allow it in forum signatures and in the forum for that perpose ONLY.

11) Scamming (asking for credit card details, Runescape passwords, etc) is against the rules.

12) Any member under the age of thirteen is not allowed to post, this is for safety reasons.

13) While almost any subject is widely regarded as acceptable to post (for those not acceptable, consult General Chat we ask that you (the topic creator) hold an unbiased view on subjects and provide BOTH sides of the argument so that your topic doesn’t become a flame-ridden battlefield.

14) Promotions:To become a moderator I or another admin need to notice that you are very good at one topic or post there a lot.An admin will email or PM you and then you can except or delcline the offer. To become Super Moderator I and other admins need to think that you are a very good poster, know the rules, and have good history with the forum in general. To become an admin you basicly need to excel at everything.

15) This is a family orientated site, even if it is frequented by Teenagers, you are not to post anything sexual, extremely violent or anything that would generally warrant more than an ‘M’ rating.

So there are the rules, please stick to them and hopefully you'll have some fun on the boards!
