Master Chief, hands down.

Halo 3 beats any other video game, at the moment. I mean, how can you get sick of Shotty Snipers, Oddball, Capture the Flag, Team Swat, Infection, and anything else Halo has to offer. And the amount of people online everyday seems to prove my fact even more.

I would have to say... Solid Snake. That series was amazing, and you really come to care for the characters.
